‘t Geitenboerke
Alpaca’s knuffelen was al een vinkje van mijn bucketlist. Maar als grote dierenvriend wil ik om elk fluffig beestje mijn armen wel slaan. Laatst gingen we dan ook naar Veldhoven om daar de volgende schatjes in de ogen te kijken.
We hadden ontzettend geluk met het mooie weer. De zon scheen fel en jassen waren dan ook verre van nodig. Er was meteen al voldoende, gratis, parkeergelegenheid. Ook was het een beetje verder welgelegen van drukke wegen, dus ook geen gevaar als je kindje wegloopt bij de auto.
We liepen vervolgens meteen al langs een speeltuintje voor de kinderen en een terras dat hier over uit keek. De zon scheen er vol op. Op de hoek vonden we de ingang voor ‘t Geitenboerke. Er was deze dag een evenement. De laatste dag om lammetjes te kunnen knuffelen. Er was ook hier een terrasje ingericht, inclusief overkapping. Links van ons bevonden meteen de twee geitenstallen. In de eerste stal waren de kleintjes te vinden. Het eerste raam waar we naar binnen keken bleek de babykamer te zijn. De lammetje hier waren nog geen 24 uur oud. De jongste werd zelfs binnen gebracht toen wij in de stal waren. Vooraan waren ook de bokken te vinden, hun werk zat er al een tijdje op. Verder op waren de kraamkamers. Verschillende kamers vol met kleine geitjes, oh ik smolt. We kozen er voor om een lammetje een flesje te geven, voor €1 werd het beestje uit het hok gehaald, kregen we een warme fles met geitenmelk en mochten we net zo lang met het kleintje knuffelen als we maar wilden.
Nadat we het beestje vaarwel hadden gezegd, besloten we naar de volgende stal te gaan. Deze stond helemaal vol met volwassen geiten. Ook was er een afgezet stuk waar alle drachtige geiten verbleven, die elk moment konden bevallen. Hier gaven we de geiten te eten en gaven ze een paar goede aaien over de bol.
Buiten was er ook van alles te beleven. Zo was er een klein speeltuintje, een lucht kussen en een klein knuffelhoekje met geitjes waar tevens ook gezocht kon worden naar paaseieren.
Zoals ik al zei was het de laatste lammetjes knuffel dag van het seizoen. Maar dat betekend gelukkig niet dat je niet meer bij ‘t Geitenboerke terecht kan deze lente/zomer. Er zijn drie verschillende soorten excursies te boeken. Deze excursies variëren van prijs van €5 tot €10 per persoon en zijn te boeken vanaf 8 personen. Ook zijn er vanaf €3 per persoon al kinderfeestjes te boeken. Standaard krijgen de kindjes dan een rondleiding over de boerderij, een zakje chips en onbeperkt ranja en is er onbeperkt koffie of thee voor de ouders. Daarnaast bieden ze de mogelijkheid om voor een beetje extra dit pakket uit te breiden met lammetjes de fles geven, geiten melken, verschillende spelletjes en zelfs een luchtkussen.
